Zach Hilpert is an American Studies doctoral student at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. Originally from Vermillion, S.D., Zach earned his bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from the University of Minnesota, master’s degree in Distance Education Administration from Northern State University, and another master’s degree in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. |

Hugh Hales-Tooke
Hugh Hales-Tooke grew up in Cambridge, England. He received his M.F.A. in painting from Syracuse University. His photography has appeared in many publications including the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, New York Magazine, Details, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Paper, Vogue, Travel and Leisure, Life Magazine, Vibe, Spin, Interview, House & Garden, and G.Q. Omnia El Shakry
Omnia El Shakry is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of California, Davis where she teaches Modern Middle East History and the History of Colonialism. Her forthcoming book is entitled: The Great Social Laboratory: Subjects of Knowledge in Colonial and Postcolonial Egypt (Stanford University Press). She is currently expanding her work on colonialism to include questions of visual culture and its relationship to historicity and temporality.

Kurt Taroff is the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Performing Arts Department at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He holds a Ph.D. in Theatre from the City University of New York. He has edited and published in Slavic and East European Performance and The Journal of the Pirandello Society of America. He has presented his work at the conferences of the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR) and the International Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR, FIRT) among others. |
